Manufactured by Editions Du Griffon Neuchâtel, Switzerland. In 1927 he took a drawing course in Budapest. He then studied until 1930 at the studio of Sándor Bortnyik, an academy in Budapest based on the Bauhaus . In 1930 Vasarely left for Paris and worked as a decorator and advertising artist. He began to develop a system in which he abstracted objects from everyday life. Vasarely became one of the leading figures of geometric abstract painting, also called op art, which became widely known in Europe and America in the 1960s. ------
