Product description
Minimalist, very rare display cabinet from the B series by Behr, designed by Dieter Waeckerlin in the late 1950s. The sideboard has two sliding glass doors, behind which there are three shelves for storage and presentation. The cabinet body is made of teak veneer, with the front corners made of glass, which gives the furniture its elegance and lightness. The cabinet body rests on a black steel frame.
Excellent condition with revised surface. Smallest scratches and a few light chips on the steel frame and wooden body, but these are not disturbingly noticeable and do not negatively affect the high-quality character of the furniture.

Elegant Dieter Wäckerlin glass cabinet in teak veneer with a nice grain. The minimalist sideboard sits on a black metal base and has glass corners in the front. This is a rare showcase from Waeckerlins B-Series, designed in the 1950s. Wäckerlin was a cabinet maker, interior architect and furniture designer from Switzerland. His mid-century furniture is characterized by a puristic design language, especially visible in his famous sideboards. He developed furniture systems with Le Corbusier and became known for his collaboration with manufacturer Behr in Osnabrück.
The showcase comes in wonderful condition with only minor traces of use, some small scratches and bumbs on the wood and on the steelframe, very tiny marks on the edges, nothing that detracts. The wood has been refinished. Overall appearance presents beautifully.
