Elegant dining table, model 55 in Rio rosewood, by Gunni Omann for Omann Jun Møbelfabrik.
This table features a belted display leaf in the same species of rosewood as the tabletop, and rests on sheath legs. Two additional, unbelted mahogany service extensions extend the length of this table to a substantial 270 cm. A central metal leg can then be unfolded to provide additional support, preventing the table from bending when extended to maximum length.
The table can be used with its display extension, allowing it to be permanently presented as an oval table. The table and its display extension have been restored, and the additional extensions are in used condition.
