Product description
This "Royalton" Sofa was designed by Philippe Starck and produced by Driade shortly after its introduction in 1988. In the late 1980s, Starck was approached by hotelier Ian Schraeger to design a line of furniture for a new project he was working on, the Royalton Hotel in New York City. This large sofa was designed for the lobby. The sofa has curved front legs of polished cast aluminum and legs of solid beech in reverse. The sofa has a solid steel frame with a thick foam pad. The back is currently upholstered in a light velour fabric, and the horizontal seating area has a light brown leather upholstery. The sofa is 200 cm wide, 95 cm deep and 115 cm high. The seat height is 40 cm. The piece of furniture is in good condition. The legs have some small stains and the horizontal upholstery shows light signs of use.
There is a stain on the leather upholstery that can probably be removed with leather cleaner
