Tapa, or bark cloth, is a fabric decorated with figurative and abstract designs usually applied by scratching or painting. The drawings also tell the story of daily life in the village or bush. The most common motifs are the spiral and abstract designs of fish and animals. They usually painted with the colors red (burnt clay), black (mixture of soot and grease) and white (burnt and then crushed shells mixed with palm oil). The canvas is framed in the wooden frame in natural color. In perfect condition. Dimensions Frame 57 x 38 cm Cloth. 51 x 27 cm
