Antique Armenian pottery vase, Palestine, Ohanessian in the Iznik style. Handcrafted, signed under the foot Palestine Karakashian-Balian, late 19th/early 20th century. Baluster shape, flared neck, small high foot with rounded base. Pink terracotta, hand-painted and glazed. Unusual black/purple hue, with traditional plant motifs, turquoise blue, green, red, white/pink (transparency), navy blue frieze foot and triangular motifs. 22.5cm high, 11-12cm diameter max. Very good overall condition, a few small chips, notably on the rim of the neck (3) and on the rim of the foot (5), and other discrete traces of time, cracking of the varnish. Approx. 750gr.
