The designer duo Hvidt & Mølgaard-Nielsen ran a joint studio in Copenhagen between 1944 and 1975. During this time, they created almost 300 pieces of furniture, including icons such as the AX chair and the Drawn chair. Their work was influential in shaping the style of the Danish Modern movement and is highly sought after by design enthusiasts today. Their designs are exhibited in museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the National Gallery Melbourne. Hvidt & Mølgaard-Nielsen were twice awarded the Diplôme d'Honneur at the Milan Triennale. The designers created the original AX Chair back in 1947. The edition from the 1980s is offered here.
