The teak surface has a beautiful, even grain and has been carefully maintained so that only minimal signs of age-related wear are visible, emphasizing the authentic character of the furniture. The woven rattan shelf is intact, but there are signs of age-related wear which blend harmoniously into the overall design (see wickerwork pictures). The slim, tapered legs are stable and also show only slight signs of wear, which in no way impair their functionality.
