The oval dining table 'Artona' is a beautiful piece of furniture designed in Italy in 1975 by the visionary minds of Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Maxalto. The table top is made of beautiful walnut and has remarkable grain and knots. It forms a harmonious whole with the black lacquered wooden base decorated with brass details.
This table is an important contribution to the "Artona" collection, a pioneering initiative of the Scarpa duo that was the first step of Maxalto, the high-end division within B&B Italia.
Launched in 1975, this collection was intended to promote the art of artisanal furniture making, with a predominant focus on the use of wood.
