Product description
This beautiful and in excellent condition Amsterdam School /Art Deco mantel clock dates from the 1920s-1930s.
The beautiful clock case is constructed from different types of wood, with metal details on both sides. The geometry (characteristic Art Deco) is also nicely reflected in this clock.
The spherical glass door opens well. The clock comes with a key. After winding the movement it runs for over a week.
The movement runs fine as does the 3-tone bim - bam strike that makes a pleasant sound every half and full hour.
Dimensions:
32cm W, 15cm D, 22cm H
On the inside the clock is signed 2-38 JB
The clock is very nice to see and has signs of use appropriate to its age. On the right back the base plate (where the clock is placed on) is a bit cracked. The lacquer shows some color difference of the wood in some places. See the pictures for a good impression.
