Often copied - but never equaled: this nostalgic all-metal fan has been handmade since 1950.
STYLE:

DESCRIPTION:
Motor housing with handle; switchable swivel mechanism, ball-bearing mounted with automatic reversal (oscillation); tilt adjustment by clamping mechanism with star grip; propeller made of polished aluminum with openable safety basket by means of positive-locking deflection straps; control element with switch lever for 3 speed levels; stand tube made of thick-walled steel tube (split in two and removable); heavy cast iron base with integrated castors, covered by chrome-plated plate with rosette on top.
Very high-quality and elaborate workmanship of the metal parts (polished and chrome-plated). The safety basket, for example, is remarkable: the individual wires are guided through elaborately drilled holes in the arms and not through a cheap soldered connection as in the replicas.

The design originates from the USA in the 1920s, when it was manufactured by the American Emerson Fan Company, which is now over 100 years old. When production in the USA was discontinued, the company sold the old production lines to India, where several companies were interested in the metal fans. In 1949/50, engineer and entrepreneur Raj Kumar Sah launched the Cinni brand. Demand for these fans has risen sharply since then. They conquered the European market in the mid-1980s.
Cinni fans are still made entirely by hand today. They run forever.

CONDITION:
