This minimalist 1980s lamp is best shown off when the light disc is facing the ceiling, this way you have indirect atmospheric light at a different point than where the light connection is on the ceiling.
Everything is made of white enameled steel, hardly any signs of use. The whole thing is so inconspicuous that you almost don't see it against a white ceiling.
The fixture consists of a small mounting saucer, a decorative cap that ensures that on the ceiling you only see a round disc with a diameter of 12.5 cm and a height of 3 cm. Then follows a rod (length 100 cm) that can rotate on the mounting disc so that the angle the rod makes with the ceiling is variable. Then follows the light element (diameter 25 cm) that can rotate so that it can be horizontal at any position of the rod.
Originally it could hold an R7 halogen bulb (up to 350W!!), controlled by the built-in dimmer/switch. Today, three R7 220V LED bulbs are available to fit this fixture (see photos). Alternatives: -1) a flat R7 rod (10W, 800 Lumens, color warm white 2700K). The shape is almost the same as the original halogen R7. -2) A rod-shaped R7 element that just doesn't extend above the dish (Calex, 8W, 1000Lumen, 3000K) -3) An R7 rod with a shaft that sits slightly higher than the line between the contact points. (Calex, 13W, 1500 Lumens, 3000K). This #3 therefore rises a small nick above the dish, but you only look into this light at a distance (or if you are very tall). If the lamp sits 195 cm from the floor and you are 172 tall you will only see into it from 7 m.
The built-in dimmer is not suitable for LED. I therefore shorted it so the LED goes on/off with a wall switch. You can also switch it so the dimmer button is used as on/off. Dimming with LED can be done with an external dimmer if desired.
It does not have the name LUMINA on it, but I also have the same design as a floor lamp and there I find the Lumina name molded into the base.
