Product description
Iconic desk lamp or table lamp designed by Louis Kalff in 1955 for Philips. An understated yet striking lamp due to its quirky design.
A metal round base with a curved rod and a mushroom-shaped shade perforated at the edges. This one is also reminiscent of a UFO.
The lamp still has its original orange paint in terra color, which adds extra to its vintage charm.
The lamp is in nice vintage condition, see also the pictures.
The original Philips label is still present. Technically the lamp is fully functional, including the on/off switch on the base.
Dimensions: H 43 x 33 (shade) x 15 (base) cm.
The lamp/lighting comes out best with the use of a front mirror lamp. Here the light is (for) distributed downwards with a very nice effect!
In overall very clean vintage condition with some logical age-related signs of use.
