Product description
Design: ceremonial keris Dimensions: (total length with sheath) 50 x (keris length) 45 cm Origin: Madura Model: Keris (13 luk) bends Material: gold plated - forged - wood carving Period: 1st half 20th century Condition: nice condition - blade is well forged and in perfect condition Kris comes from Madura, an island next to Java. The blade has 13 luk (bends) and is well forged. Given the exuberance of the blade, with gold-like elements, I suspect that it is a ceremonial keris, for example for a wedding ceremony. The carving of the handle and sheath is somewhat rough. When shipped, the item will be carefully packed to prevent damage.
