The Knoll Studio Womb Chair is a design by Eero Saarinen. Having mastered bending veneers in the early 1940s, Saarinen was eager to pursue the idea that a chair could also be comfortable through the shape of the seat, rather than the cushions. Florence Knoll gave him the idea of making it a real armchair, one in which one could curl up wonderfully. This meant jettisoning the idea of a chair without cushions.
In the end, the name Womb - English for womb - refers precisely to the feeling this chair gives you. A safe, soft and secure feeling.
The Womb is 105 centimeters wide, 92 centimeters high and 94 centimeters deep. The seat height is 43.5 centimeters. To complete the picture, also add the matching Ottoman!
Beautiful Beige Sand fabric. The metal base has a black powder coating.
