Product description
Original vintage Harvey Guzzini Brumbry - (Brown edition). Often found on the www as Brumbury but the official name is Brumbry. This model is no longer produced. Model with white hood can still be found quite easily but a version with this beige brown hood is quite rare. Especially in this perfect condition. iGuzzini was founded in 1959 in Recanati, Italy, as Harvey Guzzini by brothers Raimondo, Giovanni, Virgilio, Giuseppe and Adolfo Guzzini. Originally, the company focused on the production of decorative lamps made of methacrylate, a type of plastic. The company soon became known for its innovative use of this material. In the 1970s, iGuzzini began to specialize in architectural lighting and changed its name to iGuzzini Illuminazione in 1981. This shift marked an important phase in the growth of the company, which began to focus increasingly on lighting solutions for public and commercial spaces, such as museums, offices, and urban areas. The Brumbry lamp is an iconic table lamp designed by Italian designer Luigi Massoni in the 1960s. This lamp is an excellent example of the innovative approach to design that characterized Massoni, with a strong emphasis on simplicity, functionality and aesthetics. The design of the Brumbry lamp reflects the aesthetic of the mid-20th century, with a focus on simplicity, geometric shapes and the use of modern materials. This lamp is a good example of Italian modernist design that became globally influential at the time. Luigi Massoni was an influential Italian industrialist, designer and architect, born in 1930 and died in 2013. He played a prominent role in the Italian design world, especially in the 1960s and 1970s, working with some of the most prestigious brands in the furniture and interior design industries (including Bofi). Massoni is known for his innovative approach to design and his contribution to modernism in Italy. ------------------------------------------- Original Harvey Guzzini sticker still on the hood. Harvey Guzzini logo was used from 1965 to 1977. Before 1965 the logo was still Harvey Creazioni and after later the logo was changed to iGuzzini. The Harvey Guzzini logo was designed by Luigi Massoni. Original "double/single pole foot switch" (model D-662) designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1968. Allows you to choose whether to light only the single lamp in the top or the 3 lamps below or both. Height: 43cm Diameter shade: 46 cm Diameter foot: 13 cm Fitting: 4x E14 (also suitable for LED bulbs - recommended as they do not produce heat and can deform the shade due to heat).
