A vintage topper for the true scandi design freak: this FK87 'Grasshopper' lounge chair designed by Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kastholm.
Note: not the remake from Lange Production, but the original from Kill International - of course Made in Denmark. Just find an original like this in this condition in Europe.
The chair is finished in soft brown leather. We chose not to treat this to preserve the beautiful matte finish of the original leather. At your option, the leather can be cleaned, greased or otherwise treated. The frame is stretched with the original sturdy canvas which is still in excellent condition. The chrome-plated steel frame is still in excellent condition, no rust or scratches. Only a single corner and stain reminds us of the respectable age of the FK87. We photographed this one as honestly as possible.
This chaise longue was purchased in Holland in the 1960s by two design enthusiasts, who have had the chair in their homes all their lives. The chair returned to family ownership after passing away, and has spent the last few decades in the South of France. First owner!
