Product description
Danish ice bucket 'Congo' designed by Jens Quistgaard in 1954. It was manufactured in solid teak by Dansk Design. The ice bucket was made in 3 different heights of which this one is the tallest with a height of almost 50 cm (!). This makes it a work of art rather than an object of use, which is why it has rightly earned a place in the collection of the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York.
The ice bucket is in nice condition. There is a little damage to the wood near the rim (see photo) but this is certainly not disturbing. At the bottom is the stamp of the manufacturer 'Dansk Design'.
