1978 Castelli DSC106 with new upholstery.
Finally a chair so pure that it can withstand my upholstering experiments with ease. Indeed; The slender aluminum castings keep the odd upholstery perfectly within the defined framework.
I was looking for a way to create a 3d net effect to make the soft surfaces look a little less tame. The optical effect of this chair works best with string light.
Upholstery in semi-synthetic (stain resistant) fabric with felt backing.
The "net" is applied manually
The aluminum has normal signs of use from sliding and bumping, however, no more than appropriate for its age (1978).
