Product description
This kettle from Picquot is a perfect example of the streamlined design movement. The kettle is the star piece in the set and is rarely seen. This super stylish kettle combines Deco Design with later European influences. Jean Picquot designed this kettle for Burrage and Boyd in 1938 and the company planned to market it. Unfortunately, the war intervened, but in 1946, after the war, it was finally released and became an instant hit. The company's metallurgy department invented a magnesium-aluminum alloy they called MAGNALIUM. This is what the kettle is made of. It is cast in one piece to minimize leakage during casting. The wooden handle is made of sycamore. Good vintage condition, some signs of age and use, for example inside, as shown in the photos. Also still for sale a tea pot and a coffee pot, see the other ad.

Inside some chalk, see photos.
