Product description
A true collector's item! signed! Inspired by reform movements such as the Bauhaus or the German Werkbund, new paths were taken in the design of everyday objects and household items. Design artists and manufacturers of utility and art ceramics also increasingly drew on the ideas of modern industrial design and attempted to implement them appropriately in their profession. Very contemporary, geometric spray decorations were soon designed by almost all ceramic manufacturers in the Reich and services were offered in the formal canon of modern and abstract art; in some places, the design language even referred directly to Russian Suprematism, which had been experimenting with decorations on coffee pots and cake plates since 1915. It was not until the Nazi era, with its rejection of classical modernism and the increasing urge to "popularize" art and everyday design, that this came to an end. But until the early 1940s, many a coffee pot bearing the signature of Kandinsky or Malevich would have found a place on grandma's afternoon table. If you wish, your new object will be delivered to your home well packaged and with insured shipping. This is a private sale and takes place under exclusion of any liability for material defects!

The teapot is in really very good condition for its age and for an object of daily use.
