Rare, sawn wood Table/Bureau lamp . Netherlands 1920 - 1930 . Executed in stained birch , with typical Amsterdam School ornamentation and a bird / plant motif in the parabolic shade . The shade is covered with red/pink silk and fringed. Probably a study for a , later to be executed in metal / bronze . ( Winkelman & van der Bijl ) .
