This beauty is Pearl One, never used and comes from the final collection of Korstiaan (Cock) Springer, artist in plastic objects. Personally, Springer invariably maintained a very low profile, even though he was at Paris Design Week 'Maison & Objet' and worked for the exclusive market such as ETC Design Center Europe and PoldrDesign in Berg & Dal. Clients included Brussels Airport, the High Tech Campus Eindhoven, Radboud University Nijmegen.... only rarely did Springer make a creation for the private market. Pearl One is the first in a series of five, all very similar but not identical. Cock kept this one himself, but the "sister copies" went for prices within the design world at multiples of these here on Whoppah. All in all, a real godsend....
