This ceramic boat by Edith Madou is in pristine condition. The artwork has been given the name: The chair in the middle.
The seats are gold-plated and the bow and stern and the trim all around are silver-plated. The boat is 45 cm long and 27 cm wide. Height incl. the chair 24 cm, only the bow is 12 cm high.
This artwork was sold in 1995 by the Pulchri Studio The Hague.

She is visual artist Edith Madou. (1964)
Since graduating from the Academy of Visual Arts in Maastricht (1992) she has been working as an independent artist. The studio is located in Deventer. I exhibit her works of art in galleries at home and abroad.
She specializes in realistic ceramic sculptures.
She draws inspiration from everyday life, old cookbooks,
the conviviality and traditions in the Netherlands from the past to the present
Another great source of inspiration is also maritime life and everything related to fishing.
In addition to her free work, she makes commissioned work, in which the customer's demand is leading.
