High-pile, hand-knotted and large rug.
Beautiful Moroccan Berber Boujaad rug. The rug is hand knotted vintage and approximately 30 years old. Boujaâd rugs are knotted in the Haouz region of the central Atlas Mountains in Morocco. These carpets are mutedly colorful with irregular geometric patterns.
The rugs are handmade by women called artists who weave their daily life experiences, stories and emotions into each thread. This rug has beautiful warm dark red, pink and black soft tones colors and ornate patterns.
We have had the rug professionally cleaned before sale.
Nb: the rug has minor damage (see last photo). However, this is not noticeable due to material and color and gives character to the rug.
The rug was bought 3 years ago at Hype Pop-Up and has been in a bedroom. So the rug has not been heavily walked on.
