Arno Mertens (1966, Waalwijk) attended the Hogeschool voor Kunst en Vormgeving in Den Bosch. His medium: painting. Mertens works with various galleries, including Galerie Contempo in Rotterdam, Galerie Witt in Dordrecht and, closer to home, Galerie Terhaag and De Vet in Berkel Enschot. Among his most important exhibitions are those at Museum Jan Cunen in Oss and the North Brabant Museum in Den Bosch. In 2007 he published an overview of recent work.
