Vintage Fat Lava vase, XL size. This beauty contains the code 412-47: 412 is the model and 47 is the height in cm's. This original vintage floor vase was produced in the 1970s by Scheurich Keramikfabrik KG. The unique glaze effect testifies to the craftsmanship of the designer, Oswald Kleudgen. West Germany vases are true works of art that exude timeless charm and continue to fascinate collectors around the world. What truly sets them apart is their striking use of vibrant colors and bold designs. One particularly iconic style of West Germany vases is known as "Fat Lava. This style is characterized by thick, lava-like glazes that give the vases an almost organic texture. The result is a visually stunning effect that attracts attention and gives the vases an unmistakable look. This XL ear vase features the organic "Jura" relief decoration and is marked "West Germany" (West Germany was actually an umbrella term for ceramics marketed roughly between 1950 and 1990). The presence of a code on the bottom of the vase is also a distinctive feature. This code can help a collector identify the manufacturer, year of production and other important details that contribute to the history and story behind each piece. In the early 1970s, Scheurich, through its distinctive designs, made millions in sales. Scheurich's strategy in doing so was as simple as it was effective: the same models were given different decorations each time. The designs were changed twice a year to suit the changing tastes of the public. The main designers for the models were A. Seidel, Heinz Siery, Wilhelm and Ellie Kuch. All in all, West Germany vases represent not only an aesthetic pleasure, but also an important historical and cultural heritage. They embody the spirit of an era and remain an intriguing symbol of creativity and expression for both collectors and lovers of design around the world. In perfect vintage condition, no flaws.
