The sturdy armchair has a solid pine frame between which the black saddle leather seat is stretched. The leather backrest is slid over a frame. The leather straps on the back of the seat give the chair a nice robust character. The chair bears a great resemblance to the Karin Mobring Diana safari chair for Ikea, but has a different shape of the wooden frame. Perhaps prototype or craftsmanship? What is certain is that this model is rare, perhaps one of a kind. Designer and manufacturer unknown to us. (2 copies available.)Good vintage condition. Light signs of use on the wood frame and leather consistent with age. Nice patina.
