Offered is this original antique Thonet chair No. 14 with a beautiful patina and new matted seat.
Chair No. 14, also called bistro chair, designed by Thonet was one of Thonet's most popular chairs alongside chair No. 18. It has a half inner arch in the backrest and was produced by Austrian designer Josef Hoffmann, probably around 1900. This model is still produced, but now as No. 218. This chair has a new hand matted seat and in the past it has had a repair. Over the years it has acquired a nice patina but it is still in a good and stable condition.
