Van der Sluis Furniture 540 sofa is a classic from the Vandersluis collection. The design is by Gijs van der Sluis and is a unique design of a bygone era. The sofa has a chromed square steel frame and the seat and back are executed with a wool upholstery.
By pulling the seat forward, the sofa can be transformed into a longer sofa (16cm longer) or a sofa bed in no time. Its length of 190cm allows three people to sit side by side on the sofa. Its compactness makes the sofa space-saving and its clean lines make the Vandersluis 540 sofa a "modern" classic in the world of vintage industry.

Location the Poseidon Collection, AssendelftThis item is in good vintage condition, consistent with age. Visible in the photos is some minor damage in the black lacquer work on the back of one leg. Not visible is some very minor discoloration in the fabric seat. Of course we can always send you some additional pictures of this. Or you can always come and see the sofa if you wish. The folding and unfolding into a sofa bed works super smoothly. We have not seen this with the many BR02 and BR03 sofas we have sold before.
