Design: Kai Kristiansen Manufacturer: FM Møbler Country: Denmark Period: 1960 Dimensions: H192 x B260 x D45 Material: Teak Condition: Original in very good condition This wall system consists of 10 shelves of which 1 with dimensions 85cm wide x 28cm deep, 2 of 85x18 deep and 7 of 85x24 deep. A display cabinet with 2 sliding glass doors with inside height adjustable shelves with dimensions 85cm wide x 28cm deep x 50cm high. A chest of drawers with 4 spacious drawers with dimensions 85w x 45d and 50h. A desk with 2 drawers, dimensions are 85cm wide x 40cm deep. And 4 wall rails with a layer of teak veneer on the aluminum so they match perfectly with the rest of the wood, 2 rails are a little darker in color. The height of 3 wall rails is 192cm and 1 has a length of 224cm. The whole is in very good condition with only some light scratches. The desk has two small repaired spots on the left drawer that are barely visible. Everything has been cleaned and oiled and ready to use. Danish designer Kai Kristiansen (1929-2023) opened his own studio at the age of 26 in the Danish modern style in which he preferred to work with beautifully combined teak and rosewood materials. His modular FM Reolsystem that he designed in 1957 for Feldballe Møbelfabrik, like that of Poul Cadovius, became a worldwide success.
