Product description
A splendid ceramic sculpture representing the bust of a woman next to an equilateral pyramid of majestic precision. As it is a self-supporting round sculpture, it can be viewed from different points of view, offering the viewer infinite beauty, as each side of the sculpture is different, thus completely avoiding symmetry. Added to this characteristic is the artist's stunning use of color, with black and white combining powerfully with crimson red. This enameling process is achieved by firing in kilns the different metals that make up the color, such as lead or tin, in addition to the pigments. The result is a very aesthetic piece, which resumes the polygonal forms of art deco, but with a more avant-garde and personal vision. The sculpture is signed and dated 1984. The sculpture is signed and dated 1984. It is signature or artistic ceramics, created for aesthetic and decorative purposes, and never mass-produced; they are unique pieces. From modernism to the contemporary, we have witnessed the transgression and overcoming of many limits, including those of ceramics, which is devoid of any utilitarian functionality, being simply a piece to be admired and perceived.
