ONRUST. This is yet another painting that tries to explore another aspect of our humanity. I am trying to explore the restlessness that exists in all of us. Look closely at it. You won't find anything in it that doesn't move, break up and re-form. The colors used are also important because they are at the opposite end of the color spectrum and continue this restless message. It is also a reassuring painting because it shows that this restlessness creates something with emotional impact and has its own beauty. It reflects how beautiful our inner turmoil is and how it makes us what we are as human beings. It is not stressful, but helps us deal with our daily problems without realizing it. The size and colors of this painting will make an impact in any room where it is hung. This is a painting with painted sides of 4 cm. You can hang it without a frame.
My name is Jim Ewing. I am a Scottish painter and now live in Arnhem.
Before I retired, I owned two art galleries in Britain, one in Glasgow and one in Manchester.
After retirement, I spent 10 years cruising the Greek islands on my small yacht, painting and selling my work along the way.
In 2014, I moved to the Netherlands, set up my studio and began painting full-time.
Since then, I have sold my work in Britain, Ireland, Europe, Scandinavia, the U.S., Canada and even Taiwan.
I sell my work through local exhibitions, through various galleries and online. I also welcome visitors to my studio.
