Antique Armenian pottery vase, Palestine, Ohanessian in the Iznik style. Handcrafted, signed under the foot Palestine Karakashian-Balian, late 19th/early 20th century. Baluster shape, flared neck, small high foot with rounded base. Pink terracotta, hand-painted and glazed. Unusual black/purple hue, with traditional plant motifs, turquoise blue, green, red, white/pink (transparency), navy blue frieze foot and triangular motifs. 22.5cm high, 11-12cm diameter max. Very good overall condition, with a few small chips, notably on the rim of the neck (3) and on the rim of the foot (5), and other discrete traces of time, and cracking of the varnish.
