Jean-Paul Marsman, born in Nijmegen, is a remarkable Dutch artist who lives and works in Veldhoven. His work is purchased by, among others: collectors, galleries, museums and companies. His work is intense and full, a conversation or a discussion and one of the few artists who dares to work in more than one style.
On the one hand there is his colorful figurative work with graffiti influences that borders on Pop Art . Expressionist work in which image and text are equally important and reinforce each other. This work reflects the artist's rich imagination and draws inspiration from everyday events, with his graphic advertising background clearly visible in his work.
On the other hand, there is his tranquil hyper-realistic work. In which the classical craft of 17th century painting techniques forms the monumental and timeless character of his compositions.
