Edgar Degas (1834-1917) was a French painter, sculptor and graphic artist considered one of the most important Impressionist artists. Degas is best known for his depictions of ballet dancers, but his works featuring horse racing, women grooming themselves and scenes of modern city life are also iconic. This color collotype has never been framed and has been kept in dark archival storage among protective acid-free paper.
