Beautiful pair of folding chairs by Niels Gammelgaard in, the somewhat rarer color chocolate brown. The IKEA folding chair, also called the TED chair, is a classic from the 1970s that achieved success because of its comfortable design compared to other folding chairs. The back of the chair is curved twice as deeply as other chairs on the market. The chair was launched in the 1979 catalog and remained in existence for ten years. The chairs are in good vintage condition with signs of wear and use ( scratches on the surface (see photos) and are fully functional. The structure of the chairs is metal and the seat and back are plastic.
