Product description
Beautiful floor lamp designed by Adalberto Dal Lago, manufactured by Esperia in Italy around 1960. This eye-catching piece is made of high quality chrome metal with a plexiglass shade. The shade has metal bars around it, giving it a unique appearance, especially when switched on. It would make a great addition to any modern interior. In good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Adalberto Dal Lago, born in Milan in 1937, holds a Degree in Architecture from the Politecnico in Milan, where he pursued an academic career first as Assistant Professor of Decoration and then as Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Elements of Composition. He has published many works on architecture, design and decoration and has edited “Rassegna-Modi di abitare oggi” magazine and the “Tecnologia/Design” section of “L’architettura-Cronache e Storia” magazine, published by Bruno Zevi. He has served on the juries of Italian and international competitions and presented papers at a large number of congresses and conferences in Europe; he has also curated many Architecture and Design exhibitions. As an architect, he has designed the exteriors and interiors of buildings of all kinds: Private homes, residential and community developments, industrial buildings, research centers, public and private offices, hotels, restaurants and showrooms. As an industrial designer, Adalberto Dal Lago is the long-established consultant of some of the world’s top companies for home furnishings, textiles, vinyls and ceramics and is in charge of color trends in a large number of design sectors, and the styling of cars and motorcycles.
